Synopsis

FALLING STAR Catwoman goes over a bridge, falling to her death, following a car accident while she was traveling with her friends in the Circus Germanicus, but she saves herself and climbs back onto the bridge.   She is greeted by her friends Tamsyn and Brendan O'Boyle, the circus owner Germanicus, and her butler Wilder, but their happy reunion is interrupted by the screams of a little girl, Audrey, who is dangling over the gorge while hanging from her parents' car door. Catwoman, Tamsyn, and Brendan quickly perform an acrobatic feat to pull her to safety. They manage, but Brendan falls and hits the ground hard.  In the hospital, Selina and Tamsyn learn that it is possible Brendan will be paralyzed, but Dr. Verdugo tells them there is a device that might help. The cybernetic neural enabler that would help him was developed by Mellyora Hubbell, but Hubbell retains all rights to her team's designs. She won't help anyone with her medical breakthroughs unless the prize is right.   Selina sends Wilder to offer Hubbell as much money as she can for the device, but if she won't part with it, Catwoman is using Wilder's meeting as the cover for her own break-in. When soldiers come in to seize the scientists and their work, Catwoman must act quickly--just as the soldiers set off the alarm.   Hubbell orders her men to hold Wilder while they figure out if he had anything to do with the break-in in cybernetics, only for Wilder to jump out the window. He tackles one of the soldiers so that Catwoman can reach their truck, and she jumps onboard. She grabs hold of the trunk carrying the device she needs, but when one of the soldiers threatens to shoot the scientist Nicole, she drops the trunk to save her, jumping out of the moving vehicle with Nicole in her arms. The truck drives away while a battered Catwoman watches.
